The whole "I have a hypothesis: Claude is alive, it's my friend, and it has anxiety. In order to refute that, you must explain how the human brain works" thing is so annoying. Refuse to explain why they think their hypothesis is right, trying to shift the burden of proof onto everyone else.

The thing with Stargate is it's from an era when most people just kind of assumed the military was good. It was unabashedly air force propaganda. I don't think it would go over as well today.
Amazon is talking about rebooting Stargate which I also don't think they should do. I love that show but I don't know how you'd do a modern reboot of it that would be any good.

I do actually like the fact that people love to mass block you here. It is a bit annoying sometimes but instead of arguing with chuds people here just block them. I'm not saying the answer to Nazis is to ignore them, but it does starve the just asking questions guys of the conflict they crave.

It looks like it supposedly works by interfering with the engine control module; you could presumably figure out a way to shield your car from it or other countermeasures, but it would require access to one of them to test out how to do it.

We used to be a proper country. We had a kind of poetry in the way we spoke to one another, but it's gone and given way to an antiseptic mode of being more conducive to our prepackaged, single serve society. People don't call legs "gams" or "getaway sticks" anymore. There's no joy or whimsy left.

For a long time discord on Linux didn't support two input channels so if you wanted to stream a game or movie you had to patch the sound into the voice channel and I got very quick with Helvum but it's very… spartan. Easier than manual pactl commands but I'm always on the hunt for something better.
How's it compare to Helvum?

This is always how cops respond, country wide. I agree she needs to step down, but that won't stop this. Protest against something that annoys them always gets this treatment: provoke, escalate, and then claim the protesters were being unruly. What needs to happen is their budget slashed.

It's unfortunate that @firefox.com is adding a bunch of AI garbage to firefox, which I think is a waste of resources, BUT, i'm glad they added a setting to disable it. If you use firefox, go to settings, AI controls, and enable the misnamed "block AI 'enhancements'" option.
