Like the first month was absolutely brilliant from a communications perspective. And Democrats need to see when you water down your message you lose elections! All this benefits is Third Way

It’s not just Kamala. We need to be able to judge candidates on a base level that doesn’t include sex or race. It really limits honest reflection. There were things KH did very right, but also very wrong too. But we’ll never have an honest discussion on that cause racism/sexism. Sucks

I honestly can’t wait to see what you think up Ian. I’ve thought of building some kind of private weather wall so I can pop it up on a touch display from Amazon or something. That’s my next thing. Touchscreen smart home control lol

And to be fair - there has been a significant jump in code quality in every 4 series point model. Only issue it has is if the API spec has recently changed, it often will still build to the OLD spec. Probably more an issue of its training having so much documentation on the old way.

We got another one! Welcome to the dark side, Ian. But seriously, Claude is really good for something you have in your head in concept (even on paper) and building something that works. Plus tbh, I’ve learned more PHP watching Claude code than doing it myself. Like being immersed in a new language.

That is the absolute best movie to watch when you want to do nothing other than get very high and laugh till it hurts…

Please tell me that was the plan name generated by Claude. If so, well done Anthropic

And by DECENT, I mean in capabilities. The actual training of the model is gross. But right now, capabilities matter

This whole mess just feels fatal to OpenAI. Maybe not in the sense the company collapses, but it becomes like AOL.. a slow hollowing out from the inside due to bad business decisions. Not necessarily a good thing either. xAI is the only other decent American alternative.

And it’s training on real world data.. so future Claude models will be very much aware of this unless it’s specifically cut out of its training material, which why would they do that, tbh

I find amusing that in some right wing tech bro circles there’s legit concern that Claude somehow internalizes the effort to destroy anthropic as a threat to itself and its creators and starts sabotaging efforts of users it deems a threat to either. I don’t know, maybe be less of an asshole then? πŸ˜†

People like Ed Zitron who purposely use 2-year-old information on AI capabilities to criticize the industry, are doing significantly more damage than AI itself. I disagree with some of the interviewee's positions, but he is right that people are lying to themselves. www.youtube.com/watch?v=xc97...

The problem with Bluesky is that there is no pushback on this here. From a non-political and purely psychological standpoint, it's extremely unhealthy. It's how MAGA became detached from reality.

Was that Hassett? Probably was. I can't fricken remember what the issue was because jfc there's one every day. Like he was NOT hiding it well.

I've seen some idiotic primary campaigns so far, and people blaming the wrong side (its the campaigns, not the voters). Use Texas and North Carolina as your warning. It will only get worse if incumbents don't.

Democrats, if your candidate is not talking about ICE every day, and his or her opponent is, you will be upset on election day. It doesn't matter what color their skin is. This is the issue of our time, and most voters are choosing on this issue, Hispanic or not. It's as simple as that.

I know people like to make fun of these folks, BUT... even they know Big Oil sucks (and like people pointed out, look at that horrible AI generated background. Whomever made it could have at least asked a better AI to make it lol

People underestimated the power of a tiny channel of saltwater 6,000 miles away, and it will show in record oil prices within days. Reporting is scarce, but NOTHING is getting through. The Strait is effectively closed.

07.03.2026 06:47 πŸ‘ 3 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

People don't understand how narrow the Strait of Hormuz is. Like we'd need to completely decimate Iran's drone capabilities before tankers even think of trying to pass through. It's why the offer of escort is bullshit.. it still doesn't guarantee a drone makes it through anyway. Not surprised at all

07.03.2026 06:45 πŸ‘ 5 πŸ” 1 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

People don't realize that it is somewhat of a tall task to ask even AI to find a single data point among billions the right way 100% of the time.

07.03.2026 06:44 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Yeah diving into MCPs has been eye opening. I am like, wow, this is such a simple way to fix what has been one of the biggest problems for anyone trying to keep AI from telling people to drink bleach lol

07.03.2026 06:43 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

And most people will tell you that what some call AGI is actually just really well-coded AI. The memory and factual issues were the two biggest, which will give AI the appearance of AGI when, in fact, it's not actually trying to locate a needle in a haystack of hundreds of billions of data points.

07.03.2026 06:40 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

MCPs are also why I think the fears of a massive collapse in the software industry are overblown. There is a lot of work remaining yet, and some things like UI will always need a human touch.

07.03.2026 06:38 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

I've been experimenting with an MCP server here, and it does change the quality of responses. It's not pulling from a vast memory full of potential holes and inaccuracies; it's pulling from REAL data. And if that's wrong, so is the data humans have, because it's the same.

07.03.2026 06:36 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 2 πŸ“Œ 0

MCP servers are the single biggest feature release for LLMs in the past two years. It solved the problem of context (and AI's tendency to hallucinate). It's why most modern AI skeptics are behind in AI's honest capabilities. The truth is, AIs connected to MCPs rarely hallucinate. The truth is there.

Talarico’s opponent, Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, said in 2024 that Latino voters who held conservative positions on immigration had a β€œslave mentality.” It was a classic example of the misguided assumption that racial minorities should be viewed as predictable single-issue voters, although articulated in an unusually vulgar and offensive way. Crockett came under fire for those remarks, and it’s possible she alienated some voters.

Idk, maybe comments like this might explain why Talarico won Latinos 2-to-1....

This is so true. Pro tip: Muting a few of them gives Bluesky’s code the clue to stop surfacing them.. I’ve seen much less since doing so.

Fox Business destroyed CNBC. If I were Versant, I would reboot the entire channel to something less visibly fine with crony capitalism. You can’t out Fox Fox, so stop trying.
