If you have a Royal Family, you have deference.
If you have a Royal Family, you have a class system.
If you have a RF, you essentially say, "These people are better than everyone else by dint of birth & should maintain enormous influence, wealth and power."
Why would anyone want that at all?
Since the SNP came into government, Homicide rates have dropped by 61%, to the lowest since records began
2007-08: 115 homicide victims 2024-25: 45 homicide victims
🇬🇧That doesn’t deter the unionists at The Sunday Post choosing to publish this misleading Front Page during their HR26 campaign🇬🇧

Your regular reminder this is why you shouldn’t vote Labour in Scotland in May this year.
SNP & Green remain committed to no tuition fees in Scotland
My niece just graduated as a Doctor (was at Aberdeen) and is debt free
What was it about Labour that attracted the Easdale brothers to donate a 6 figure sum to them? Could it be because they own McGills bus company and don’t want it to be controlled by Glasgow city council?
BBC Scotland deliberately misleads on hospital-acquired infections – there was no ‘fatal infection’ nor did ‘infection lead to death’ talkingupscotlandtwo.com/2026/01/18/b...
Definitely team excitement here.

You are an inspiration, long may you keep yapping away
Reposted in response to shamefully dishonest Daily Record story today on homelessness which is no more than a Labour election leaflet

BBC Scotland again bigging up Reform UK's council by-election win in West Lothian. It's the second time BBC Scotland has publicised it. No mention of the winning candidate's questionable past or the scandals besetting the party.
BBC Scotland NEVER gives this much publicity to SNP or the Greens.
‘…we learned that Scotland is perfectly capable of confronting a global crisis without Westminster’s tutelage, and moreover can make a far better job of it than Westminster. That’s the real lesson of the pandemic for Scotland.’
My latest blog piece, about Shabana Mahmood pandering to the basest instincts of the far right and why it's doomed to failure

Even when Scotland is praised on the world stage the SNP gets no credit
Financial agencies applaud Scotland’s economy, but all we get is sneering. Govts need held to account but credit where credit is due
It shows how meaningless the quality of our debate has become

How can the UK survive when most of its member states want to leave? youtu.be/CnLkIsKxEEw?...
I feel a similar sense of urgency to challenge the narrative like I did in 2020. This time it’s the anti-migrant pandemic. We shouldn’t just duck down &let it infect almost everyone in the hope of ‘herd immunity’ making it eventually pass. It’s totally preventable if enough of us care to prevent it.
My latest blog piece, Holyrood 2026, it's up to all of us now.

About time consequences were faced for the PPE scandal…
But why only Michelle Mone?
£15b worth of contracts were flagged with a corruption risk
So where’s the rest of them?
And what about the Tory ministers who greenlit that institutionally corrupt VIP lane?
There are many alarming things about Starmer's ID plan, he's creating instruments of state surveillance which he'll hand over to the far right after the next general election. If there's a pro indy majority in Holyrood after 2026, ScotGov needs to hold an indyref & dare Starmer to stop them.
Autism is not a disease, not something to be extracted, but simply who people are. There's nothing to be cured but the ignorance of us so-called neurotypicals and our inability to accept that rather than changing who people are, we ought to change the world and make it more accommodating to all.

After 18 years without LabCons just about every public service in Scotland has been protected by the SNP? Now it’s our well-regulated RAAC ‘which can easily last 50 years, and should be able to carry on for several decades after that’ Prof JWR talkingupscotlandtwo.com/2025/09/11/d...
