I've seen that take with some friends so my view might be a bit biased so hcyfgcgfg

the original is well regarded but the remake is hit or miss for some though its not as hated as the re3 remake. the version you play could also be a factor as most tend to stick with older versions of the game like gc and wii (identical to the gc with everything on 1 dvd ps2 stuff and wiimote stuff)

if its re4 og graphically it was very impressive for GameCube (ps2 suffered a bit but still looks good) and standardized the 3rd person controls for several games afterwards.
