I have been oso oso’s most dedicated fan for nearly half a decade, nearly 5000 streams, and me purchasing 1 t shirt for 25$ generates double the revenue for them that my streams have ever made. We live in a difficult time for musicians. I say these things not to disuade you, but to bring compassion

I have nothing but endless respect and support for people that pursue this stuff as a profession. It is fueled by nothing but love and dedication. But I will not sit here and pontificate to you as if it is magical. It is not. We need transparency on this
red sun fans, I will be as honest and transparent with you as I can. There is very little money in music. Unless you have 1 million + Monthly listeners, you will not be living comfortably and this is in absence of insurances, retirement funds, and more. You can pursue music, but it is hard 1/2

it might sound odd, but as someone who has influence over a younger demographic of people, please invest in your future. College is not for everyone and not worth wasting money on if you’re not invested whole-heartedly, but I want to encourage you all to pursue your dreams!
