Toronto Council Fire Native Cultural Centre. After years of advocacy by Council Fire for a permanent cultural space at City Hall, the 20,650 sq ft Spirit Garden opened in September 2024. The project responds to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Call to Action 82, which urges government to install Residential Schools Monument in every capital city to honour survivors and all the children who never returned home.
