Yeah, we're good. It's just a shit-dipped cherry on the top of a melted sundae of grapenuts icecream.

Uuugh. Today sucks. Hubs called me at work. Upstairs bathroom flooded, floor upstairs soaked. Went under floor, and down the wall in the bathroom underneath it.
Came home, started cleaning and mopping up⦠and Dibley decided it was a great time to go after Paisley.
Can today be over now?!
βDo you not know that a man is not dead while his name is still spoken?β #GNUTerryPratchett
Hopefully someday soon!
This cold thatβs going around is wicked. I had it a while back. Sudafed Cold and Sinus is your friend. And steamy showers.
When did Scarpetta come out on Prime?! Has anyone watched yet, and if so whatβd you think?
Sweet baby angel pupper.
Same, Steve.
Gorgeous!!!!
It was so boring. I learned nothing of dates, rulers, what was happening in the areaβ¦ nothing like that. Hereβs an Ionic column, a Doric one and a Corinthian one. In this paper I will attempt to β
Iβm a dates, battles, monarchs, politics kind of history fan. Learning about the types of columns, or ancient potteryβ¦ each class was a chore.
My grade 9 was British and we were the last class to get it. All the other grade 9 classes in our school got, you guessed it, more Canadian. Grade 10 was ancient history but the teacher did it about pottery, architecture, the arts, and let me tell you how very little attention I paid to that class.
What about now? Itβs now, right? Right?
My grade 11 history class, and my grade 9 British History (up to Victoria) are my favourites out of all the ones in grade school not just because they werenβt Maritime or Canadian (though I loathe both) but because it was so new and interesting.
You know, the first time I learned about WWI and WWII was in grade 11. Not one touch on it until then. And not any history outside of Maritime and Canadian until grade 10.
Both of my grandfathers, and great uncles (and a lot of my classmatesβ) fought in WWII, and not a mention.
I love British history, and even I couldnβt keep up with Dan Carlinβs Hardcore History.
Sounds like itβs time for a night course. Canadian Engineers and the Pontoon Bridges
Great for students means: *I* donβt want to leave it on the sidewalk, but Iβll let a student do it for me.
Oooh thanks! Iβll check them out!
I just looked them up - theyβre called Camelia small reds. Canβt find them on the amazons.
Peteβs has all kinds of dried beans Iβve never seen before. I do wish somewhere sold the light rose coloured beans they use in southern beans and rice, and gigante beans.
Yea itβs not mandatory. But the boiling before popping in the slow cooker is.
Owie! Iβve jabbed myself accidentally before. It suuuucks.
Offices making people travel in when you COULD work from home is a slap in the face. Itβs even worse when youβre taking an active pay cut to do so (cost of gas, car repairs, parking, bus fare, lunches, office clothes, not to mention mental stress from having to deal with other people in person.)
Kind of like a Zatarans box mix (which is also good) but no beans in it. It has a very little amount of heat which was nice. I donβt see them on Amazon tho which was surprising.
Warm bed, cool room. Noise machine on. Once my toes warm up itβs gonna get *lit up in here!
*Sleep, she means sleep.
I did beans and rice from a bag for dinner tonight and they were AMAZING. I got them from Peteβs. I added a diced green pepper and 2 German sausages diced up at the beginning. Highly recommend!!! I think it was 4$ and change. 2 mains and a fair lunch. Will buy several for emergency dinners. 30 mins.
The brining overnight is from Americas Test Kitchen. Brining makes the beans creamy. If you have a cast iron pot, I recommend that in the oven on super low heat. My oven has a slowcook function and itβs a better slow cooker than my actual slow cooker.
Baked Bean expert here! Soak your dried beans overnight in salty water. Drain and rinse the next day. Then follow this linkβs instructions. Use Thompsonβs Pea Beans (Navy beans).
I usually swap out the bacon and use a smoked ham hock. Either is great! I also add 1/3C bbq sauce at the end.
Please stop wasting money doing this.
