Anyways I don't know why I feel like talking about this tonight. Maybe it's because I wasn't able to read as much this week because I was hosting guests and remember even more than ever how much reading releases much-needed endorphins for me. So grateful for the writers and libraries.

There are times like when I was a little kid that I stay up too late reading because the book is so good. I read during my breaks and after work and before bed. When I find myself doomscrolling, I open my book instead. It's really helped my mental health.

I'm currently at 141 finished books this year. Most of them are graphic novels, but I make it a habit to finish at least 1 prose book a week (sometimes 2). I made my new years resolution to read more this year & I feel like my much younger self. I'm enjoying reading more than I have in 2 decades.

Finished 3 graphic novels today (Urusei Yatsura 2, Medalist 6, Gantz Omnibus 1) & started another new book (Honeybees and Distant Thunder). I'm also rereading Catching Fire & cycling between that & HaDT. I want to read more tonight, but know if I do, I won't be able to fall asleep at a decent hour.
