Sun rays side-effect on my menu. It was NOT supposed to be like this but I kinda like it, so I'm not fixing it ππ€π.
Let's gooo!
I'm building Capyvarias a clicker colony game set in a cute post-apocalyptic world. Start with just two capybaras and grow your colony one step at a time. Gather resources, assign tasks, expand your shelter, and unlock new technologies.

Shiny new demo is out! β¨
Capyvarias is part of gamedev.tv students showcase youtu.be/Ei0BpJH_7tM
I first started gamedev as a hobby in 2024. While having experience as a dev, gamedev and Unity was new for me, so I decided to take a course.
It was well worth it and I recommend it for all beginners who can afford it.
Capyvarias will be in Steam Next Fest!
Need to get that demo in the best shape it can be π₯³
Happy New Year! β¨
2026 is going to be special. After all the work, this is finally the year I ship my first game. πΉποΈ

To recap:
- Pick a time and stick to it (even if it's hard).
- Network with peers at your level, not just the stars.
Are you streaming game dev? Drop your link below, Iβd love to check out your stream! π€9/9
Grow with your peers.
(and this was my mistake)
If you don't apply part 1, they will eventually grow without you, and it will be a lost you dropping those 3 viewers on a 150 stream.
Build your crew of streamer friends while you are both small and rise TOGETHER π 8/9
Also, stop looking up, look sideways.
If you have 2-4 viewers, hang out in streams with 2-4 viewers. Raid them. Chat with them. Support them.
Don't dump your 3 viewers into a top-tier channel. It gets lost. But for a small streamer? That raid makes their day. π€ 7/9
Now, part 2: Community.
Iβve always watched other small devs while coding (it feels like a virtual office). But just "watching" or chatting in other channels didn't help my stream grow.
Being present isn't enough. You need the right strategy. 6/9
At first, it was just my old crew (friends & family).
But because I was live at the same time every day, unknown folks started finding me and actually coming BACK!
Predictability builds habits for your viewers. That consistency pushed me to Affiliate. 5/9
In October, I gave myself an ultimatum: take this seriously or quit.
I set a rigid schedule: every weekday morning (CET).
Iβm a parent, so "crazy life needs" still happen. But I managed to hit 3-5 days a week consistently.
This changed EVERYTHING. 4/9
Let's start with the schedule.
Early this year, my streaming was chaos. Different times. Different days. Sometimes Iβd skip 10 days, sometimes Iβd do 3 in a row.
It was always a "surprise stream."
The result? No growth. No viewers. No fun. π 3/9
TLDR:
- Radical Consistency (schedule)
- Horizontal Networking (community)
If you are stuck at 2 viewers or want to know more, read the deep dive below. β¬οΈ 2/9
