Someone just casually sent me pictures of a higher-up at work I've met multiple times, doing a full TED Talk-style presentation in English. Yet every time we met in meetings, they only addressed me in their native language, which I don't speak, leaving me dependent on colleagues to communicate.

I got gifted Tomie by Junji Ito in Italian, and I can’t stop noticing how icky and awkward the dialogue sounds. I need to check the English version to see if it’s just a bad adaptation or if I’m being a snob.
