A pair of young Crown of Thorns succulents. Don't let its appearance fool you. This plant has sharp thorns and a poisonous latex sap. Euphorbia milii. 🌱

Thank you! I like the comparison to daffodils. They really are happy little flowers.

I look forward to the tiny star-shaped flowers of this purple Ghost plant every year. Graptopetalum paraguayense. 🌱⭐️

A Kalanchoe baharensis (Felt plant). It's about 18" tall and has very unique fuzzy triangular shaped leaves. Leaves can get 10-15" which some say look like an elephant's ears. This one is about 4 years old. It's grown with the smaller succulents around its base for almost 3 years.

This unique succulent from Madagascar is the "Felt plant" or "Elephant Ears", and can get 10-20 feet tall. I'm hoping for six ft., but will need to practice patience with its slow, but steady, growth. Kalanchoe baharensis. 🌱

A Mangave "Pineapple Express" with dark green color and brown spots. The older leaves are long and slightly curved with tiny teeth on the edges. The new leaves at the center are already showing the same color and shape.

A large and almost pristine scarlet elf cup fungus, spotted this very afternoon. It must have only just appeared because every other one I saw had already been extensively munched upon by something πŸŒ±πŸ„

A medium size tree in a supermarket parking lot. It has light colored spring flower buds that are yellow from the street light nearby. The sky is dark blue that turns lighter blue near the horizon.

As I was putting groceries in my trunk, I noticed this tree was highlighted perfectly by the street light. Then I noticed the sky behind it. Amazing colors at that moment.

After nearly three years, the small Aloe nobilis I planted has successfully taken over the small mound I created for it. Love the dark green color and dense group of rosettes. 🌱

Good question. I think the main factor is lots of light. All of mine are growing outdoors where they get enough sun. Also it's important not to overwater them. I haven't gotten one to flower indoors yet, but know they need tons of light from a bright southern or western facing window.
