This might not be considered orthodox within vinyl fetishist circles but some of my crappy old vinyl doesn't half come up a treat after running it under a warm tap and giving it a wipe with a bit of washing up liquid π«§π§΄π§½

Just make sure you give the 2024 netflix adaptation a hard pass!
Big β€οΈ to @fortevilfruit.bsky.social , for the bundle of BC codes (now redeemed π) included with my purchase of Head Shot Shy by Teresa Rieman (amazing!)
A fairy light lit bar. Formerly the student union of Dartington College of Arts. Now part of Soundart Radio's studio space.
The DJ kit through the window of the broadcast studio. 2 record decks, 2 pioneer cdj900nxs, some Numark 4 channel mixer
Our lovely T-shirts behind the bar in Ocean, Moss, Mustard and Rust because apparently blue, green, yellow and red aren't a thing anymore.
A forlorn and lonely ping pong table on the dancefloor just waiting for 2 or more folk to get all Marty Supreme in its vicinity.
In Devon? Near Totnes? Come say hi this evening π Bars open 5ish - 9:30ish, dj's on the 1's an 2's, (Field Work & Beat Circus) Ping Pong table's warmed up ππ
Used to do the school corridors 40+ years ago (3 quid a week!) Wonder if I still have the knack?
Timely if poignant reissue here and one in the eye for all the 200 quid discogs grifters! π
It's phenomenal. I've had to buy it again so I get the digital before I wear the tape out!
Started a poll. Let me know if it works...

A band photo of Water is the Sun featuring the artists standing in a windswept moor like environment behind some dried and dessicated undergrowth
A photograph of Water is the Sun performing on stage, bowed over tables of electronic devices and standing in front of a vast array of CRT monitors.
Going to flag this up again. Equinox Sounds @ Soundart. Saturday March 21st. Come celebrate the start of summer in Devon with a devotional drone performance live from Water is the Sun (Drekka with Timber Rattle) www.soundartradio.org.uk/events/water... Support the underground/community radio!

Two albums I can just listen to over and over again. β€οΈ Diana Crash's sublime vocal drawl. The perfect foil for Bill's odd musicality. Hope they keep making stuff together from here in!
Somehow ended up with Cabbaggage's "A Place with no Guns" despite it not appearing in my BC collection. Think it was perhaps part of a @moolakiiclubai.bsky.social bundle, but it is now one of my absolute favourite albums to freak/zone out with. β€οΈ it so much.

I guess it encourages you to download stuff, which I mostly do and it's organised a bit better there, and I fantisize about doing it all again lossless now there's half decent batch downloaders but there's still something lacking in BC I feel, especially with large collections π€·
Yeah, my issue is I've bought a few discographies over the years, (looking at you @bizcasual.bsky.social) but others also applicable with 100+ (sometimes many many more) releases and I wanna stack em all into one folder :/
Ah ok. Got it. More work to do from Bandcamp I think! I want to stack releases :) (also "sorting is not supported on collections over 1000 items" π)
What! Wait, where? How? Literally moaning yesterday cos I want to be able to group stuff somehow but re-arranging would be a start (even though prob downloaded 90% of it.)
I wish there was a way in @bandcamp.com to group stuff in your collection into categories etc. I've bought a few discographies over the years and it would be nice to bang them into some kind of sub-folder rather than having to scroll past them all.
This is pretty wild π€©

Me when the bloody Focus engine malfunction β warning flashes up again on the drive home from work...
No problem π Beautiful album (and significantly better traveled than me!)
It's their love for Cardiacs that's always done it for me β€οΈ
β€οΈπ #guilypleasure Am an absolutely unapologetic sucker for this all time classic disco banger πβ€οΈ m.youtube.com/watch?v=9mQW...
This week I have mostly been listening to @jo-johnson.bsky.social and trying to read 'Infinite Jest' (might bring it in by the end of the month...π€)
Easily done...
Ha, not heard that. Makes a change from Courtney I guess!
Pb + wild garlic when the season comes π
The rest of the 'story' apposite for these current times, is that Kurt found out far more about the dark underbelly of the industry than he may perhaps have wanted. Not unlike the similar tales around Avicci :/
