We asked some of the Anne+ Health team who they’re most excited to see perform next week at Trans Mission and here’s what they said. We can’t wait to spend a day surrounded by trans joy. 🏳️‍⚧️

What did you need in your youth to be able to live authentically?

Because every trans young person deserves dignity, access to healthcare, and a future they can feel hopeful about. 💙

This is why compassionate support for trans young people in the UK is life changing and life saving.

The review of the pause offers no timeline, leaving thousands of young people stuck at a critical developmental window with nowhere to turn. Trans youth deserve better.

The real-world impact on trans young people is profound:

➡️ No current NHS access to puberty blockers
➡️ Delays in care linked to worsening mental health
➡️ Suicide risk has been raised as a concern since the original ban

Meanwhile, cisgender children with precocious puberty continue to receive the same medication without disruption.

This trial was meant to fill the gap created when NHS England banned puberty blockers outside formal research. Now that lifeline has been withdrawn too, meaning care is only available to those who can afford to pay privately.

The PATHWAYS trial, the only remaining route for under‑16s to access puberty blockers on the NHS, has been halted indefinitely after the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) raised concerns about its methodology.
