I know nothing about Shaman King, so I'll take your word for it that these are severe. Not too surprising though, since I definitely remember cases of 4kids giving characters a racist accent (the maid from sonic x) and flipping the gender of androgynous characters (a one-off villain in pokemon)
I haven't actually heard much about their Shaman King dub, how much did they fuck it up? Because I can't imagine it being as severe as 4kids one piece's weird ass edits, which after a certain point stopped being censorship and started just feeling like fucking around
