I'm gonna go out on limb here, that the rich have a massive reality imbalance. While they draw validity from having things, the idea of "helping people" is a percieved "loss" to them. Their lack of empathy is probably drawn from deep dread that they realize their materialism owns them.

I'm saying this unironically. Firearm/Self Defense culture should have crossed white and non white lines. LGBTQIA and Straight lines. Guns are not evil, humanity is evil because it creates spaces where self defense technology needs to be developed for self preservation.
