If you've ever read the Artist's Way, it's a good "artist's date" to take yourself on: a walk collecting textures and abstractions. I also find it helps me really appreciate the beauty of the city which can sometimes feel not so pretty :)

I love this idea! This week I will revise sketches for the ending of my current PB and complete 1 piece of finished art for it. So say I, so it shall be done.🥴

We need to play.

We need to fail.

We need to experiment. And learn. And try again.

And that's why my #1 piece of advice for picture book writers who have been revising the same pb for years is to gently thank it and set it aside. And then write something new.
