How is this real life?

Remember when Rep. Greg Gianforte, now the GOP governor of the state, body slammed a reporter into a table?

We probably need to shut down the Montana Republican Party entirely until we can figure out where all this violent rage is coming from.

Reminder that the US military budget is larger than the military spending of the next nine largest countries combined.

Over half goes to private defense contractors.

This is the military-industrial complex Eisenhower warned of β€” on steroids.

This trans teacher has no choice but to leave Florida: 'I can't defend myself' Saoirse Stone says state policies have turned her daily life in an Orlando high school classroom into a series of quiet humiliations.

Florida is doing what it set out to do, make life unlivable for trans people.

Despite Promises, Veterans Affairs Department Cut Thousands of Roles for Doctors and Nurses

Got it. There's plenty of funding to send troops into harm’s way, but not to take care of their health afterwards. This is shameful.

The American people should have gotten a clear explanation as to why we bombed Iran and what the end game is. Instead, they got this:

When I was at MIT I knew a few nuclear sub officers who came from the military to study nuclear engineering at MIT. Now that is banned.

Strikes me that letting military members draw on the full resources the US has available to learn makes us all safer.

Kansas Sends Letters To Trans People Demanding The Immediate Surrender Of Drivers Licenses "The legislature did not include a grace period."

It seems all Kansas-issued trans drivers' licenses are invalid, effective tomorrow

It is now illegal for trans people to drive a car until they surrender their license at a DMV (that most will need to drive to) and have it reissued with the wrong gender marker

This was never about woman's sports

Samsung's S26 Series Saves the Big Upgrades for the Top-End Ultra Model Samsung has announced its Galaxy S26 series of flagship phones for 2026. The company has seemingly reverted to its traditional arrangement of models: S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra, with no mention (yet) of...

Privacy Display on the S26 Ultra is a very cool new technology.
But there are some under-reported other changes in the S26 series. Like the smallest one getting a larger battery but dropping mmWave 5G.

Epstein Files Are Missing Records About Woman Who Made Claim Against Trump

So, the Trump DOJ failed to release files concerning an Epstein accuser with claims involving Trump... but did manage to accidentally reveal that the files existed?

Americans are fed up with this administration’s mix of incompetence and corruption. Time to come clean.

This is such a tiny part of the problem with housing. You could completely ban private equity from owning residential property tomorrow and it wouldn’t have a huge impact. It is a supply problem. There isn’t enough housing. The fix is more housing. Everything else is moving deck chairs.

The Cybertruck may be the deadliest road car, for the occupants, ever sold.

US citizen shot and killed by federal immigration agent last year, new records show Shooting death of Ruben Ray Martinez, 23, in Texas was not publicly disclosed by Department of Homeland Security

An ICE agent shot and killed 23-year-old U.S. citizen Ruben Ray Martinez in Texas almost an entire year ago and hid the shooting from the public.

It’s only now coming to light, 11 months later, due to Freedom of Information Act requests.

What else is the regime hiding from us?

This is exactly right. The Onion quietly left Twitter a month ago and... our weekly subscribers went up. It's because we're doing well here, on Instagram and on YouTube.

As a business, being on Twitter is somewhere between useless or detrimental, unless you're selling boner pills.

If even small, ruby-red towns can refuse to provide services to potential ICE concentration camps, yours can too!

Write an email to or speak at a meeting for your local town/city council demanding that they refuse to provide utilities or permits to ICE detention centers.

I agree with all the slave ship & forced labor camp comparisons, but also, on a practical level, this is not how you build a detention center where you expect either violent inmates or long-term prisoners. The very floorplans betray the obvious lie; they are meant to warehouse harmless folks.
