I want to revive this project in some way in a way thats more comunity oriented and not just me scowering for old anthro once art every few months when i get motivated to. It would be really cool if it had its own website and i was thinking a booru like e621 would actually be a great fit.

Elsie the Borden Cow in a decidedly risque pinup pose, exposing a bit of her rump, back, and underarm. She's holding up a big sign that says MENU and looking happily over her shoulder at you. Text reads "Featuring Borden's Ice Cream."

since everyone is talking about my wife Elise the Borden Cow again, here's a high quality pic of my favorite Elsie art, from my personal archive

that way people can find their own examples of historical anthro art and everything can be tagged and organized and souced and be much easier to search through. Let me know if this is something yall would be interested in and if anyone has any experience or advice as to how we could do this.

A comic panel of a bunch of zombie-esque characters in scrubs looming over someone on an operating table. They're holding up a barber-style hand mirror to a shocked wolf man. The panel's captioned, "My face! What have you done to me?" "You were human being- And we have cured you!"

The unsavvy talk about furries like they're some hypersexual excretion of modernity, but drawing animal-people is one of the top 10 neolithic human activities. It's up there with collecting berries and producing clay figures of fat women.

You asked for prehistoric anthro artifacts
Lâwenmensch figurine (Lion-Figure) 🦁
Sculpted from mammoth ivory, 40,000-year-old, 31 centimeters tall. It is the oldest known depiction of anthropomorphism and maybe the oldest example of figurative art.
