Oh, so Megacrit did use Godot for StS 2. I did hear about the Unity shenanigans long ago but I never read anything after that.

I am still wondering if it's purely a memory problem and possibly file corruption, since reinstalling Steam for the first time is not helping. Plus, I can actually run some games during that time (they failed in the end because they need Steam API, maybe for save files, but they launched normally)
Hopefully it's just a memory problem that happens to snowball after I force-close stuff.
I did found an old game files that stupidly store their assets on AppData and not deleted even after I uninstall. That one is purged.
Other preventive measure is just directory junctions on suspected apps
So after a few restarts, running diagnostics (and found no problem), and reinstalling Steam, the technical issues happening today are solved...
