I think we should all take a moment and reflect on how fucking magical #sshfs truly is ๐ช
Dont tell #claudecode ๐, but I'm loving how easy it was to set up #goose ๐ชฟ to use my homelab Ollama server ๐ฆ and get going. I'm working on some light document research and creation tasks as a test.

CC has been a good homelab implementation assistant, but lately there have been a few very premature announcements of success that have me thinking about how I need to update CLAUDE . md or maybe write an /inner-critic agent or /imposter-syndrome skill...
I've added this to the todo list "Claude help me implement this"

Who benefits from this loss of capacity and strength?
And you can ask that question about any change that the current administration has made. The answer that keeps coming to me is billionaires and other big governments.

Photo of a letter I received this morning. All the text has been pixelated and blurred except this statement in the return address indicating that it was from the business's "Data Breach Notification Center"

I get a letter like this every few months. It pisses me off that cybersecurity is going to get worse not better.

This has made an otherwise grey PNW Sunday - awesome. Thanks! Canโt wait to try it.

Avionics electronics have had toggle switch covers long before data centers, but a Molly guard protects a specific type of (and very tempting type of) push button switch. Love the origins of the story!

An interior view of Seattleโs King Street Station. Think grand, fancy (though fitting for the age and type of the building it is), and very shiny white.
Seattleโs King Street Station is *very* different from when I first saw it in the early 1990โs

I feel weird about asking Claude Code help me debug an offline Claude Code setup. Kinda like Iโm cheating on Online Claude with his twin Offline Claude.
Driving on I-5 today is why I enjoy taking Amtrak for this trip (when I can) ๐
A screenshot from a session with Claude Code where my design approach was valadated, some background research was given to me (to read later), and Claude didn't mention what a big nerd I am (naming a refactoring effort "Project Genesis" from "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan".
If you heard William Shatner saying, "KHAAAN!," in your head, you understood my project name correctly ๐ #ClaudeCode #refactoring #agenticmemory #nerd

Ask Claude Code about it. Say, "I've been doing this <reference details and statement of process>, but I'm not sure it's the best approach. Review and recommend improvements."
It would be interesting to try that with Copilot and compare it to Claude Code.
For me, Claude Code is a homelab mentor, an ADHD body double, an assistant, a โbounce ideas off ofโ peer, a tutor, and a project manager. And probably more.
Thanks! I needed to see that screenshot. I've been wondering how Claude Code could hand off work to my local Ollama server -- use an MCP server like you show being used with Gemini Pro. Now my mind is spinning with ideas of subagents, etc. Cool!

Session Description:
I'll talk about how I embraced #digitalharmreduction as I replaced big tech services and why I started in the first place. What worked, kinda worked, didn't work, and what's left to do. Stories, resources, and encouragement shared.
The image has a colorful, stylized, abstract background of muted colors. The text says (from top to bottom): I'm speaking at LinuxFest Northwest 2026 Replacing Big-Tech Services: An Imperfect, Messy, and Ongoing Journey Apr/24 - Apr/26/2026 -- Bellingham, Washington, United States At the bottom is a photo of me and my (real world) name, Mike Tarrant.

First I've heard of square years and then I realize that I'm in one right now. 64.
Interesting how the difference between square years (previous, current, next) is the set of odd numbers.
