No one is coming to save us.
There are no governmental checks on Trump's power.
We will not have "free and fair" elections.
Large corporations and billionaires back the vast majority of politicians in both parties.
Only We the People can oust the fascists and the oligarchs.
But will we?
People who believe the only truth is what Trump says can be convinced of anything.
Most political pundits do not understand where we are now:
1. Trump and his followers plan to never leave power.
2. They are acting as if they will never face a "free and fair" election again, because that is their plan.
3. They do not care what anyone else thinks or wants.
Since the government will not stop Trump, only We the People can.
Trump will not allow any "free and fair" elections.
The tools left to us are those of massive, sustained, civil disobedience.
You can't vote fascists out of power, you have to oust them.
If you think the courts will stop Trump, you have not been paying attention.
The judicial branch relies on the executive branch for enforcement of its decisions—Trump runs the executive branch.
Congress will not impeach Trump.
There is no governmental check on Trump's power.
When will America wake up?
The courts will not stop the fascists.
Congress will not stop the fascists.
Any "elections" under the fascists will not stop the fascists.
Only We the People can stop the fascists through mass, sustained, civil disobedience.

The way to make sense of what Trump is doing to our economy is to think through first and foremost how his actions will benefit him personally, and secondarily those billionaires and foreign governments who support him.
Bankrupt America to make it cheap to acquire.
Replace the dollar with crypto.
The Republican Congress won't impeach Trump.
The judiciary has no enforcement power.
Only we the people can hold Trump accountable, and that means ousting him and his corrupt, authoritarian regime from power through massive sustained civil disobedience (esp. general strike).
I see authoritarianism as a spectrum from Orbán to Putin to Stalin. Trump started at the Orbán stage, but he’s racing toward the Putin stage, and I fear he will ultimately reach the Stalin stage. The signs are growing clearer, and the danger is very real.
Analyzing the Trump regime through a political lens is a mistake. It isn’t playing politics—it’s a mafia syndicate seeking self-enrichment and exploitation, including of Americans. It doesn’t expect real elections. The right lens is authoritarianism, fascism, and organized crime.
The way things are going, it feels like the Trump regime will eventually deny social security benefits to those Americans they deem not sufficiently loyal to Trump by reading their postings here for example—in which case I'm totally screwed.
If the Democrats took seriously Trump's fascism and his illegal rendering of Kilmar Abrego Garcia to a concentration camp in El Salvador, they would shut down Congress by ALL of them going to El Salvador now and protesting outside the concentration camp until he is returned home.
Trump has shredded the Constitution and is working quickly to make sure most Americans are too poor, too sick, and too scared to do anything about it.
We must oust Trump's fascist regime now via a #GeneralStrike with massive mutual aid.

The people kidnapped by the Trump regime and flown to El Salvador are not in a "prison"—they had no due process and were not convicted of any crimes—they are illegally being held for life in a hellish concentration camp.

And just like that in the gap between "facilitate" and "effectuate" an innocent man is illegally imprisoned in a foreign gulag for life and none of us are safe from the same happening to us.
If you hear about a citizen of another nation being kidnapped without due process and held hostage in a foreign prison and think, “I’m an American citizen, this is not my problem,” you are missing the reality of what these fascists intend.
When you understand that Trump and his regime are acting as if they will never have to face voters again—because they are ensuring we won't have free and fair elections any more—then it all makes sense.
Talk about "2026" or "2028" ignores the reality of the authoritarian coup.
The lesson the media needs to learn and teach now is that the Constitution and the law are not "self-enforcing"—enforcement is the job of the Executive Branch run by Criminal-in-Chief Donald Trump. The enforcement of judicial decisions against Trump is up to "we the people" now.

Markets are beginning to price in what happens to the "full faith and credit of the United States" when the President of the United States is a madman.
How much money are Trump and his billionaire buddies making by deliberately manipulating markets by calling for tariffs then pausing them? This is the third time. Trump's graft is truly astounding.
Trump is taking America from being a global superpower to a global pariah in just a few short weeks.

The question is can we ever oust the fascists and rebuild our democracy?
Looking at the Trump regime it seems the effect and likely the goal is to make the vast majority of Americans poorer, sicker, more afraid, and weaker so we can't effectively resist Trump stealing it all from us.
Let's resist and oust the Trump regime now before it's too late.
