I am genuinely confident that Firefox will soon support cross document view transitions. That will make an enormous difference to overall compatibility.
Then it will also soon be possible to detect forward and backward directions without the History or Navigation API.
If you do need it, you can use the navigation API as the modern replacement!

Through CSS View transition in combination with History API, I don’t need libraries like Barba or Swup anymore, BUT browser adoption is not great yet, right? Did I get this right, dev friends?
