Sometimes bullshitting explanations for a lore bible narrative makes you lock into theories that you never even considered. Like yes so true Marika POV the reason that Shaman flesh works is because its holiness makes it so the rancor spirits of the dead can’t corrupt it like holy pots against death

I also find this description interesting. I always thought that Marika must have grown the Erdtree with her blood and/or the blood of others. "Primordial matter" really makes me think that, and since this is located in fort haight with the blood knight, I feel like blood is a safe association.

It was hard for me to get pictures but what interests me about the mural of the doors in the catacombs is that there almost seems to be figures pouring something onto the roots (sap? Pot innards?) but ALSO it almost appears like there are figures growing from the tree. An interesting sign of rebirth

Yes I also think it’s interesting that Trina has two lilies! One is white and purple and the other is just deep purple. It may just be mechanics (separate recipes and items for crafting) but it also makes me interested in the difference between the two

Blue is very fascinating because it makes me wonder if the soul is related to water. Like we know flowing water negates rot, and that’s a stagnation thing, but looking at deathblight and scarlet rot, perhaps all these death practices are in place because stagnation of souls breeds “illness”
White: found near graves and catacombs
Purple/pink: not sure yet
So I’m only marking the golden ones because I’ve convinced myself that they are Marika’s path. But aside from that, the patterns seem to be:
Red flowers: bloodshed and battle, probably grown from blood
Blue: found near water sources but also near ruins so I’m not sure
