from the memories from Rio, when with @leanderk.bsky.social and @paolomorettin.bsky.social we were on the beach wondering if to use the Best Student Paper Runner-up Award as a surfing board.
Do you think that's specific to neurips, or wouldn't it apply to all conferences? I think if there are doubts about a proof it might help, but this could be improved by allowing authors only to rebut if they claim the reviewer made severe errors in their assessment.
The world is a beautiful and fragile place that we are allowed to enjoy temporarily and should feel responsible for.
Itβs regrettable that we (the ML community) donβt manage to have decentralised conferences across the globe (look at you, @neuripsconf.bsky.social).
Let's be better together!
Absolutely. We would have #EurIPS now in Copenhagen, but, presentation there is just optional. Each paper must still be presented live in San Diego. This whole @neuripsconf.bsky.social ethical correctness yada yada is merely a fig leaf.
Are they taking off? Last time I checked they just get deployed although they make accidents all the time.

r/ChatGPTPro u/TranslatorCurious758 β’ 1d o3-pro in med. Discussion What up! Hopefully everyone's doing well. If there are any doctors or med students here that have access to o3-pro, would you guys think its ready or efficient enough for diagnosis? Is it good for medicine overall like for patient cases or giving it pictures of X-rays and stuff or solving hard med questions?

Props also go to @ropeharz.bsky.social and Stiven s. Dias who were co-lecturers of said course.
My maternity leave project is now somewhat out: I made a jupyterbook about the basics of ML, that I teach at TUE. You can check it out here:

I love the #eurips initiative! But to live up to its potential, it should be accepted an official #neurips conference location (similar to Mexico City) and not just an addon! Then we would save C02, rather than adding to it!!! What can we do to achieve this?
Thank you β€οΈβ€οΈ getting flashbacks to a time before Elon musk put the x in xitter.
the conference cannot officially start without a proper reception πΉ
