Driving in Toronto is the bunny hill that can prepare you for driving in Houston. Going 90mph (145km) and people pass you like you're going half that. I thought it was a Texas thing. Nope, just Houston. And, that is so normal, it doesn't phase anyone.
I am breaking my mold and exploring new opportunities, and this is a first for me-for sure. This year I won't be presenting at ISTE, but I will still be able to contribute to the community by being a reviewer. This is something I am really looking forward to.

I write the district's math curriculum. While there is improvement in the lesson development this year from last, I need to find a way to meet a wider spectrum of teaching needs. Easier said than done when your district supports a range that includes poverty to advance performance needs. #growing

We really have to stop projecting our own negative experiences onto new teachers. I'm pretty sure I've been guilty of this at times but it's incredibly counterproductive and harmful. They need support from veterans, not hopelessness. #EduSky
