Good Manners is quite good in my opinion. The Howling and Dog Soldiers are alright. The Company of Wolves is surreal and difficult to follow but interesting. WolfWalkers is really good but possibly more childish than what you're looking for, same with Wolf Children.

I would classify the way it feels as very slow and solemn, yet intimate, and comfortable. It feels like fading into a backdrop of blooming fungi and warm rich earth.
It is a great one-ness and dissolution of self into the world around you.
I sometimes feel like I am almost able to "speak" with decay, not in the classic talking to the dead kind of way, I don't believe in that sort of ghost. Instead, I feel like I share emotions and echoes of images with the rotting things of the world and the tender new life blooming from them.
I've always been obsessed with decay, but not in a morbid or depressing way. I feel intimacy and one-ness with it. I seek out decay and surround myself with reminders of it. Bones, furs, damp soil, moss, mushrooms, lichens. The cycle, metamorphizing the dead into new life, it feels so comforting.
I think I frequently forget to talk about it because it doesn't feel like an "identity" in the same way that therianthropy does. It's more like a collection of experiences and feelings. Decay runs through me and speaks to me. I don't quite know how to word it.
My werewolf therian identity really gets the spotlight most of the time, but today I feel like sharing a little about my more unusual identity - decay conceptkin.
I see so many kids asking others to try and solve what their theriotype is for them and it's like! No one can do that! You need to learn to introspect!
I think it's because the internet panopticon has made them afraid of being wrong, because to them "being wrong = faking and also a bad person"
The therianthropy community has become even more extremely online and extremely vibes based it seems. While my awakening was rough, most of the advice I got was to GET OFF THE COMPUTER and go seek inward. Go into nature. Study animals. Put in work.
Ive been passively studying wolf behavior for years, and it has GREATLY improved my own understanding of myself. And if I had not, I would probably be spreading stuff like Alpha things etc. I have met therians who assume their personal experience is reflected in wild animals with 0 proof, oh no!

I am very interested in the survey and am also plenty willing to be interviewed. I've been in the community for 10 years almost on the dot, and have been involved on everything from forums to Tumblr to Instagram to Amino and plenty in-between.
Hiked out to the lake near my new house with some therian friends for the full moon. It's beautiful out here. I got separated from my friends for a while and we howled back and forth to find each other. I'm so grateful to have irl community

Therian is not Furry+ can we please move on from this. Please I am begging critters to stop calling therians just "furries who are a bit extra". A lot of therians are furries but not all of us are and they are not the same 'community', our history is not the same.

I've torn through thick leather with only my nails. I've run and jumped through fences on all fours with no practice. I know all of these things to be possible during a deep shift. You're not alone. And even though I can't fully explain them, I've got people all around who love me and believe me.
I can try to form a rationale behind each experience, but so often they fall short and what am I left with? Nothing but the experience itself. It's the only thing concrete and real. I too have had my senses truly become stronger. I've tracked deer through the forest based on scent alone.
