Finalmente, no puedo dejar de compartirles estos mapas porque los hice yo solito, a pulso, y encuentro que quedaron fabulosos (se ven algo mejor en el artículo).
El análisis demuestra algunas intuiciones de la historiografía existente, como por ejemplo la composición variada del grupo de esclavistas, y refina nuestro conocimiento sobre la prevalencia de la institución entre las élites.
Se trata de la concentración relativa más alta registrada hasta ahora para Chile colonial. Lo interesante no es tanto ello, sino que refleja el patrón de asentamiento predominantemente urbano de los esclavos.
