I am starting to forage again. Fewer pine trees here than in my previous city though so I purchased refined and raw pinyon resin for the herbalism class Iโm teaching Sunday. Loving the scent of pine and considering a chewing gum recipe with the extra.
Grassroots initiatives are my favorite!
For aspiring herbalists in the greater Cincinnati area, we have launched a grant program to help fund herbal education for local BIPOC and Trans community members.

Today I taught a small group of stewards how to prune trees and shrubs properly at a green burial site. I planted 100 of those woody plants so I'm pretty stoked to have them caring for them. I'm developing stands of medicinal shrubs and trees on my small property so it's a necessary skill.
First post!
I taught my first class of the year. Proper pruning... I've always been a nerd for shrubs. I don't really know why but I think it started when I started learning about historic management of hedging in Europe and coppice agroforestry. The tragedy of the commons hit me hard.
Hi! I can't message you bc we aren't connected. Can you add me to the Leftist Herbalists starter pack please? ๐ฑ
