I predict a Green wave in the local elections. Anyone who thinks our byelection win was an outlier is mistaken | Zack Polanski Since the Gorton and Denton victory, I have travelled the UK and seen the energy that result unleashed. More will follow, says Zack Polanski, leader of the Green party

@zackpolanski.bsky.social said it would be a battle between Reform’s big money & our people power. We showed that not only can people power win, it can win big. #HannahSpencer took on the #billionaire donors and won – message now is that we can do that everywhere

Trump is dragging our country into collapse At approximately 9:30 this morning from inside the White House, the President of the United States took a phone call from CNN’s Dana Bash and confirmed something many of us have feared for months: whi...

The people whose business model depends on permanent conflict. The people who profit every time he pushes another country into crisis. That is who is winning in Trump’s economy.

Skylarks are likely to be around now, especially as far south as the Lizard. Also meadow pipits, which take off from grassy meadows like skylarks, but have a weaker song and give up after rising thirty or forty feet and drop to earth again.

Labour urged to listen to progressive voters or face ‘political earthquake’ in London Exclusive: Senior party figures share data suggesting Green surge could put Labour in fourth place in capital in May

Our journey to replace Labour continues.

For too long they've told progressive voters that they had no choice but to vote for them.
The Manchester by-election showed that for the lie it is.

Chough guide: call, what they eat and where to see them | Countryfile.com What are choughs, what is their call and where can you see these red-billed members of the crow family in the UK?

Different from a skylark. Loud, a bit harsh and kind of reverberating. Here is a good example online:

At the place where Choughs returned to Cornwall in 2001 after dying out there in 1976. They should be starting nesting around now, so it’s worth listening for the unmistakable Cheeeeoow call. Wish I were there too - great place to walk and birdwatch followed by a pasty from Anne’s for lunch.

You know what would have helped with this sudden isolation we now find ourselves in?

Not leaving the damned EU.

For fuck’s sake.

I think the Greens could work with Sadiq Khan. There is a lot of overlap in their ideas.

I see Farage is off to Mar-a-Lago to talk down Britain and suck up to Trump.

There's nothing patriotic about cheering on a foreign leader whose illegal war is sending British families’ energy bills through the roof.

These are the psychopaths the British right think Keir Starmer should be slavishly following.

If you genuinely believe we should be committing British soldiers and taxpayers to people who think flattening schools full of innocent children is a joke, you’re no British ‘patriot’.

Various parties claim to be the party of the NHS. It’s time for the Greens to claim that title- and if they do, their support will sky-rocket 💙

Everyone temporarily abled (yes, you) must read and absorb this information.

No, we cannot pull ourselves up by our bootstraps. No, we can’t keep appointments or decide that today we’ll do the laundry or get out and get some groceries.

We’re real, feeling people who are caught in a net.

Starmer is facing a cocktail of dissent that is growing ever more potent After the Greens’ byelection win, PM’s failure to make a progressive offer has angered Labour’s soft-left majority

Far from learning any lessons from the Gorton and Denton evisceration, Starmer's 'changed' Labour Party has announced plans to remove refugee status, while the fascist-in-chief has doubled down on his nonsense by again calling the Greens 'extremists.'

This is a life and death story for the UK – so why is it being brushed under the carpet? The news that healthy life expectancy is in decline in Britain exposes a serious truth about the state we’re in, says Guardian columnist Aditya Chakrabortty

This year @rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social imposed a new GP contract

Provided an extra £1.50 to uncap the number of calls or requests per day & stand by the phone or computer

And if the job isn’t completed within 24hours the GP will be sanctioned

Job specifications below - can’t see a problem🤷🏻‍♂️

The Middle East conflict is stress testing global energy. Bloomberg sees oil at $108 in a severe escalation.

We have seen this before. The difference now is that solar and batteries are more cost competitive. Every fossil fuel spike strengthens the case for renewables on energy security alone.

My dad retired after paying income tax for 53 years.

He was discharged from hospital two days ago due to a lack of beds, despite being gravely ill.

Yet, we’re now paying for the defence of Middle Eastern dictatorships and Dubai tax-exiles’ flights back to Britain.

Grotesque.

NHS official pushed to add patient data to Palantir platform whilst also advising company

A lobbyist who worked directly for Peter Mandelson, on the Palantir board, and on the board of *four* NHS trusts.

Lobbying the NHS to hand over even more patient data to Palantir.

This absolutely stinks. Get Palantir out of the NHS. Sign my petition:
