I live a few hours away from Uvalde and not even a half hour from Santa Fe High. Politicians of all parties have had decades to find a way to stop these things from happening, but they won’t. They won’t and kids keep dying, both here and abroad.

Because I’m a coward I made a side account for my experimentations with kink/fetish art. I’m still struggling with being embarrassed about that sort of thing and I shouldn’t because I think people who just openly and proudly post theirs are the coolest people.

Always remember that narratives that an average user isn’t posting enough about something, or watching enough people die in real time, helps no one. Put that energy towards the silent politicians letting these things happen.

Some of us don’t need to subject ourselves to videos and sounds of people dying to know people are dying. The knowledge alone is horrifying. We don’t need to force ourselves to “bear witness.”

Instead we approach things wisely to conserve that energy to actually fight against these injustices.

I am once again asking people not to take disabled folks - many of which are POC - who need to curate how we keep up to date, and lump us in with privileged, abled & predominantly white folk who just refuse to look at things that make them uncomfortable.

It’s not lost on me that this is happening during Ramadan and during fasting hrs.
