I wonder how they can stand straight and walk with no spine.

Fertilizing the field for more terrorists and anti-American sentiment. Eroding the very moral fiber Americans claim to stand for. Giving the regime and the ideologues the perfect recruitment poster, paid with girls' funerals.
The “rough men” line isn’t Orwell. It traces to Richard Grenier (Washington Times, 1993). Orwell’s actual point (Notes on Nationalism, 1945) is about moral honesty: if violence is done “for you,” you own the cost and constrain it, not sanctify it.
The law of armed conflict requires that, once the fighting allows, the wounded and shipwrecked be searched for, collected, and given care to the fullest extent practicable, so far as doing so doesn’t create serious risk to your own forces or the mission.
The sinking of ARA Belgrano during the Falklands war by HMS Conqueror had the tactical significance of protecting the British Taskforce from a pincer movement. Also, they were at war with clear ROE. I wonder what the ROE was here, and the justification for sinking the ship were.
As “controversial” as the sinking of ARA Belgrano was, the strategic logic was clear: it skirted the exclusion zone around the islands and represented one arm of a potential pincer threat to the British task force. I’m curious about the tactical rationale behind this attack.
The only other ship sunk in combat by a nuclear submarine was the ARA Belgrano during the Falklands War on May 2, 1982 by the HMS Conqueror.
New episode just posted:
Both: The radar lock from the shooter and the AMRAAMs going pitbull, waking up the RHAW gear.
We can't discard anything, however the US claimed to have complete Air Superiority, so I would think this is very unlikely. It does seem likely to me that in a kinetic environment (drones, missiles) a poorly informed F/A-18 crew was vectored to intercept the Eagles and hot trigger logic took over.
The RWR on that Eagle should have screamed like it was stabbed if that happened. The 'winder shots are consistent with a concern I had: the F-15s did not seem to react at all to the threat.
A girls’ school turned into a mass grave isn’t counterterrorism, it’s a recruitment poster written in blood.
I meant “Military” of course.
“Miliary Special Operation”
This is most likely shingles. It is more common and more severe in immunocompromised patients, but it is also common in immunocompetent older adults; age itself is a major risk factor.

This is mistaken. We are in the “holy shit, there’s a monster hiding in the dark waiting to kill us all so man the flamethrowers” phase.
I don’t expect anything less from the country that values the possession of weapons more than the lives of children.

I have a Brazilian friend who lived in the Middle East for the better part of two decades, including Iran, who told me that this recent action has destabilized the region for generations to come.
I see the point, but the difference is that Russia would actually put up a fight that the US could lose. US has a recent history of seeking fights with nations that are far inferior in defensive capabilities. In Spanish we say “The Devil knows where to knock.”
America’s wishes feel selective: we keep the right to wage war, deny others deterrence; permit our theocracy-lite, condemn theirs. Conform, serve, or vanish.
MAGA doctrine: Ask not what America can do for the world. Ask what the world can do for America, because America is not in the habit of caring otherwise.
I’m old enough to remember when the FIFA Peace prize used to mean something.
Is the brain worm telling him that he looks cool working out in jeans or is he trying to also demolish good taste along with healthcare?
They may return, but that does not mean that they are going to produce anything good or that people would want to watch. Free market and all.
I think he said it because that's what he's been doing his whole life. It was not really a projection, but a confession: "I've done terrible things and faced no consequences." A moment of pure egolatry.
I should add that we don't have a fully developed FAC-A doctrine, and for this the current Texan II platform is good but not ideal. My wishlist for this would be:
-AT-6 Wolverine
-AT-29 Super Tucano
-L3Harris Sky Warden
