This is the large chuck of Long Lake Loudon park land and trees that will be replaced by a city tax payer funded 11M Dollar boathouse. Will be used in large part to store boats that Nanaimo Council just approved in a split decision. Excessive, destructive but mostly tragic .#Nanaimo

I’m shocked, Nanaimo council just voted 5-4 to remove all the central mature doug fir trees at the Loundon Long Lake Park for an enormous 11 Million dollar boathouse that is almost 3 times over budget and is in large part a storage shed for boats.
