This was very much a 20:20 hindsight thought, I admit, but as soon as VDV was sent off last night I did think to myself why have we given the captaincy to a player who is quite obviously leaving at the end of the season either way, and will just walk away from whatever this is.
Also think we need to involve Williams-Barnett once fit. I know that sounds an insane amount of pressure to put on such a young, untried player, but I honestly think he has as much chance of unlocking things as Simons and Tel and definitely Kolo Muani, who has been utterly abject.
Yes I had (albeit I think with Danso we might have got something vs Fulham). I still feel more confident than most that we’ve got what it takes to stay up but it’s so dependent on Kudus coming back quickly & Tudor not making batshit selections & I’m not sure I trust the latter. If he’s even here.

The mismanagement of our club goes back well beyond this season but I still can’t quite believe the inertia in late November / December when it was obvious that things were bad & getting worse, not better.

Also really open to Gray in midfield. Think he has been one of few players who has stood up to be counted in recent weeks. Doesn't quite offer the level of Gallagher's midfield box arrivals but he can do it.
Same applies for the next game - Danso immediately came on and looked more assured. Think his inclusion is a game-changer for us. I'd be looking at:
Vicario; Palhinha, Danso, Van de Ven; Porro, Bissouma, Gallagher, Spence; Simons; Solanke, Richarlison
