Theyβre no friends of mine

Seeing this garbage held out as βgood designβ because it has large sans serif type is farcical. Itβs an insult to designers, itβs an insult to people who build with thought and care, and itβs an insult to your intelligence as a consumer of websites.

Hi pocket besties,
Something I don't talk about is my Cyber security background. π
Please be careful when you post your specific information online. Many "fun" surveys lead to answers for your security questions online.
There are ppl whose job it is to connect the dots. Don't give them yours.

I need to set aside some time for that.
Grandchildren coming on Thursday for a long weekend, so not likely to happen as soon as I'd like.
I did read the M.S. novel earlier this month, though.

a few decades back I had a friend who worked for the library system. I never knew what books were going to just show up on the on-hold shelf with my name on them; often as the first patron to read them. She knew my tastes in books, and knew I'd write reviews for their newsletter.

Just discovered my version of `dotnet-outdated` didn't support slnx files. I needed to update it to 4.8. Here's the command if you should need to do the same:
dotnet tool update --global dotnet-outdated-tool
or if you haven't installed it:
dotnet tool install -g dotnet-outdated-tool
#dotnet

An end to the shutdown is in sight. A senior Dem Senator tells me there will be more than enough Democrats to vote in favor of re-opening the government tonight. Theyβll get a promise of a vote on health care β but nothing more. Most of the Democratic leadership will likely vote against it.
βA promise of a vote on healthcareβ is nothing

More importantly, devs need to be able to read AI-written documents *and* feel empowered to change them.
Yesterday I asked a developer what one of the Acceptance Criteria in his story meant.
βI donβt think it applies, but AI wrote it.β He didnβt even seem to think about questioning or changing it.

I did not turn on any music for an hour and a half while I tortured myself trying to figure it out. Then finally it came to me.
Hold Me Tight, from the Across the Universe soundtrack.
Why that song this morning? Iβll never know.

There is almost always a song in my head. Most days awake with a song in my head. This morning I knew not what it was. I could hum a section, sing but a couple words, but neither my wife, nor I could figure out what it was.
