Yeah. In the past AirNZ flew NRT-CHC-AKL so you could avoid the annoying domestic walk at AKL. They decided to centralise everything to an AKL hub. Maybe once they finally upgrade AKL it will be better.

while we are busy adding lines, maybe the apex isn't the best point. if a driver figures out they are behind at the apex with the new line, can they do anything to give space? no.

Perhaps the line should be at the start of the corner and that is where they have to be ahead?

maybe in the rain it could be a big problem.
but it would give viewers, stewards and drivers a reference where they need to be. I can't imagine drivers can guess if they are ahead or not at an apex they can't see when they are on the outside.

with everyone doing frame-by-frame analysis to decide if max or oscar were ahead at some imaginary line... maybe there is a simpler way?

Why don't they just have white line perpendicular to the apex across the track? #Formula1

the new ferries won't have Electric Propulsion like iRex, right?

but maybe can be upgraded in the future, if someone decides to spend money i guess.

none of the huge emissions reductions we were promised then. #nzpol

and tell the ports to pay for their stuff, so we don't have to account for it. but what do the ports gain from this? 33% fewer ships - so lower berth fees. sounds great for the port

Nicola Willis brands Labour MP β€˜ridiculous’ for opposing fast-tracking of new supermarket Duncan Webb believes the Edgeware community should have a say on the plans for a new Woolworths supermarket, but the finance minister says he needs to β€œget on board”.

A new supermarket is not going to deliver cheaper prices when we only have two 'competing' businesses

"Mitchell, who returned from a week-long visit to India alongside Luxon on Saturday, said he was briefed on his return but didn’t condemn the delay."

Luxon seems to be blaming Health NZ for not being informed, while ignoring his mate Mitchell. Why are we hearing about this on Tuesday?

Also it seems Police are the ones that misidentified the victim. Have they apologised like Health NZ? Mitchell seems to think as long as they have good intentions everything is ok. #nzpol

LAW was P5, VER P3. VER pitted straight away. LAW was on some double cool down, but also had to maintain delta. Tyres didn't cool and he had to go with what he had which was nothing. Maybe next time...

One of my favourite datasets out today - Stats NZ business financial data (used to calculate GDP). Quick 🧡...
This is the total 'NZ Inc' picture (adjusted for inflation).
NZ businesses sold $771 bn of stuff in 2024, spent $539bn on stuff, and $128bn on salaries. Operating profits were $108bn [1/n]

Andrew Bayly isn't climbing to the top of Everest. He is only climbing to Base Camp, to clear his head.

Understandable, as Base Camp is on the shoulder of Everest, or the possibly the upper arm. #nzpol
