These tariffs are another tax on working families. They drive up the cost of everyday goods and create uncertainty for Oregon businesses relying on trade. Our economy depends on strong global partnerships, and we cannot afford policies that take money out of Oregonians’ pockets.

When I came into office, it was clear that Oregon had a humanitarian crisis at our doorstep. We had to make big, bold moves. I know there is more work to do and we can’t let up until everyone in Oregon has a safe place to sleep at night.

When Trump was elected, I secured a long-term supply of Mifepristone to keep abortion safe and accessible in Oregon. To providers, patients who live in Oregon or have been forced to come here for care, and those who are helping people access the care they need: I have your back.

I will do everything I can to protect our immigrant, refugee, and communities of color from the Trump administration’s tactics.

My latest bill creates more housing for seniors. Families are struggling with rising costs and too few housing options. Our goal is to make sure older Oregonians can stay in their communities and working families have a place they can afford to call home.
