I cannot stand the feel of textured watercolour paper on my hands. It is akin to sandpaper.
I have the delicate skin of a newborn. π₯²

I believe handmade watercolours often use other preservatives! A. Gallo uses rosemary oil, for example. You can get their paints on Jackson's Art Supplies. It could be worth contacting the brand and seeing if that's the only preservative in there? They might be safe to use!
Witnessing red clouds
(the second part of a two-parts commission for scratcho-mcdatcho on Tumblr of their Dungeons and Dragons character, Manny! Thanks again for your support!)
I can't believe you were worried about painting that hair. It looks fabulous!
Oh I LOVE this palette all in different shades of blue! And the contrasts work so well.
Oh they convey such wonderful moods. Love them!
That was an awful lot of purple and one singular Potter's Pink sandwiched in the middle. But I managed! :'D
Very fun!
You can play it at dialed.gg π¨
Absolutely lovely!
She's absolutely adorable!

Loot that drops after defeating me:
1. overstuffed binder of swatches
2. hot water bottle in a fuzzy cover (warm)
3. mint pusheen dragon plush keychain
4. top secret folder of opinionated media reviews
5. love letter to Krampus in broken German (0.001% drop chance)
watercolor painting of a snake shedding its skin, and under it's skin are pomegranate seeds. a chrysalis hangs from the center of the snake.

My Blood Glitters Like Rubies in the Thrumming Dark, 2025
This piece came to me while I was obsessively photographing pomegranates that had exploded like strange stars on their bare trees. Weird, exquisite jewels rotting on the branch. The world hands us peculiar beauty when we pay attention.
Hang in there! π
Jackson's Art Supplies sent me promotional emails in German. How? I've been shopping there for years... from France!
A while back, the store forced users into geolocked accounts despite the French version being broken as hell, and now they send me stuff I can't read.
I hate this.
(I do hope you aren't deathly afraid of rats)
Yes!!! Thank you for saying it! Some things just shouldn't be rushed.
These palettes are SO good π
oh i love pink hairπΈ
Oh yes, and it is rancid!
I also can't have naps without unfortunate consequences. π
Hang in there!
On the bright side, there were TEN magpies on the neighbours' roof yesterday. I had never seen so many magpies in one place!
I second this.
Photo of a an artists' painting station, showing a selection of palettes. I've had this rectangular ceramic palette for many years now, likely bought in an art store in town. It is thick and heavy, with two rows of wells and a manufacturing flaw in the shape of a a crack in the enamel of the leftmost bottom well. This flaw isn't visible under layers of dried paint.
Porcelain feels so smooth under my brush! It's so much more comfortable than metal or plastic.
I favour this practical rectangular one and stackable round pans!
(Dear friends also gifted me a handmade palette that is so gorgeous I haven't mustered the courage to use it yet! π)
That first one is especially breathtaking!
our tiny art team worked so hard to bring the hand-drawn style of this game to life!! I'm very proud to have been a part of crafting the beautiful things in this trailer.πΏ
As 2025 comes to a close, I'd like to hope for a better creative year ahead, but every week of this one has buried my spirit a bit deeper.
If nothing else gets painted, so be it.
Hugely disappointing to read he's pushing gAI on staff, despite apparently admitting it's had no productivity boost and caused staff pushback.
Loved BG3 and D:OS2 but this is enough to make me lose interest in Divinity.
Noooo this is truly rancid! That edge looks so wrong...
I guess I'll have to find another company to print my stickers when I get back to that. π
