An irritating feature of the modern era is the tendency to operate in extremes and absolutes. Nuance and logic are often lost in pursuit of a definitive answer, even if one does not exist.
It seems weird that Roanoke College would do a poll like this... it's more like something you'd see out of a campaign committee where they ask the question in a way to get the answer they want.
