Happy Holi!
In a world that often feels heavy, this festival of colors reminds us of the power of hope, joy, and our shared humanity. May the spirit of #Holi bring light, renewal, and brighter days

Happy Holi 2026!
A celebration of light over darkness, hope over despair, and love over fear. In a world that often feels heavy with conflict and uncertainty, may the colors of Holi bring renewal, hope, and a reminder that the world is brighter when we celebrate our shared humanity.
WWII didnβt start with one explosion β it started with unchecked escalation, strongman politics, and leaders bypassing guardrails.
Striking Iran without clear authorization or strategy isnβt strength.
We have all seen this story before and it didnβt end well.
That tweet wasnβt insight. It was projection.
When your agenda is unpopular and midterms look bleak, you create chaos and call it strength.
Playing with global conflict to distract from domestic failure is reckless β and innocent people are going to pay the price.
I am so tired of living in a country where every day you wake up and have to wonder what batshit crazy thing the president did
If weβre okay with a Surgeon General who isnβt fully trained or board-certified, are we also okay with an Attorney General who never finished law school or passed the Bar?
Standards arenβt elitism. Theyβre protection.
This is the cover of @thelancet.com
βThe destructionβ¦ might take generations to repair.β
Thatβs the damage from RFK β eroding vaccine confidence, weakening public health, and diminishing U.S. scientific credibility.
This isnβt rhetoric.
Itβs a warning the world should take seriously.
Yes. Posted by RFK
This is embarrassing.
This is what they spend our taxpayers dollars on- not strengthening public health or addressing the worsening measles outbreak
Only in the U.S. do you need a license to drive a car, but not to be Surgeon General
A blind Rohingya refugee.
Fled genocide. Came here seeking safety.
Reportedly abandoned by ICE.
Dead.
This isnβt βborder security.β Itβs a moral failure.
History will ask how cruelty became normalized - and how we let our humanity erode in plain sight.

This! The insurance company makes the decision about medical care but they don't have to deal with the consequences if something bad happens - that goes to the healthcare team.
None of it makes sense!
That's awful. I am so sorry to hear this
She makes more money on supplements than most primary care physicians make in a year taking care of patients/
The thought of her being surgeon general is another vote against public health in this country
If healthcare in this country is βso great,β why am I as a physician trained in infectious diseases on my third round of appeals with an insurance company for a medication my patient with a rare disease desperately needs?
This is infuriating.
Itβs a waste of time.
And it hurts patients.
Please do this - this woman should not be surgeon general.
We all see what the state of public health is in this country after one year of this administration and she will only add to the antiscience and misinformation we continue to see spread harming the health of am Americans.
Its kind of astounding we have not had a HAN related to the measles outbreak - in normal days we would have had one and a COCA call
This is great but it doesnβt have him bragging about winning the Nobel Peace Prize - which I am sure he will
Just a reminder - this is what we are risking bringing back:
Polio wards.
Iron lungs.
Children fighting to breathe.
This is what vaccines ended.
Thatβs not βmaking America healthyβ - and itβs risking the lives of our children
Itβs alarming that #CDC hasnβt issued a HAN alert on the #measles outbreak in South Carolina.
In normal times, this absolutely would have triggered an advisory to clinicians nationwide.
Measles is one of the most contagious diseases we know.
Another example of public health being weakened.
Itβs not appropriate for ANYONE
This is absolutely horrifying.
Six people have died in ICE detention centers in Texas in just six weeks β in overcrowded, understaffed facilities where abuse has been reported.
These are human beings. This is a moral failure. And itβs happening in our state.

Its so ridiculous and wasteful
Leave @who.int because itβs βtoo expensive.β
Now spend 3Γ more to rebuild a weaker version from scratch when the infrastructure is already in place.
You canβt make this up. This isnβt cost-cutting.
Itβs sabotage of global healthβand people will die because of it.
Agreed β a medical degree doesnβt equal public health expertise. But leading NIH and CDC requires experience in science, medicine, and public health.
I also donβt appreciate my words being misconstrued. My concern is about the lack of that depth at a time when credibility and trust are fragile
Nuance is hard in a tweet. But at a moment when public trust in science is fragile, leadership in our top health institutions should reflect scientific expertise.
You are making an incorrect assertion about what I think and believe which I donβt appreciate.
You are twisting my words - I never said public health was about having a medical degree - I have worked with tons of wonderful public health officials that are not MDβs
His experience is in health economics not public health and he has done harm to science and public health in this country.
These people have zero business making healthcare policy decisions and should have to take responsibility for when people are injured or worse.
So antibiotics, insulin, blood pressure meds, antivirals, chemotherapy and anticoagulants should be over the counter?
Medicine isnβt candy.
Dosing, Interactions & Monitoring matters.
This isnβt βMaking America Healthy.β
This is how people die.
www.cnbc.com/amp/2026/02/...
This is where we are.
Someone who isnβt a board certified MD is leading NIH and CDC.
This is reckless - NIHβs credibility is eroding, and now weβre driving the final nails into public health leadership.
Expertise matters. Science matters. Lives depend on it.
