Because the council usually votes in a member of the same family, many people try and marry into that family,

And since Diana’s father is a council head…. Well you can piece the puzzle together.

Diana grows sick of the suitors, but that’s lore for another day…

Usually, the council will vote on a member of the same council head’s family, unless of course they were a bad ruler, in which case they will vote them out of power, or even cast their kingdom out of the alliance entirely!

Kingdoms 3.1

A council head is usually chosen when a council is formed. And the next council head will typically be chosen from the same blood as the first.

Though this can vary, as the council votes on who will become the next head in a democratic fashion.

Once the kingdoms have joined together and a council has formed, the cities will vote on who will become the head of the council.

The council head is a very prestigious position, and many of the council members vie for it. (Cont. 👇)

This city will serve as the central base of operations. It ideally ends up as the largest and most prosperous of them.

Once a city is chosen, next they must choose a leader…

And this tends to be the most problematic part…

Once the cities have chosen who will sit on their council, they will choose a singular city that will host it.

Whatever city is chosen will have the council named after it.

Book lore: Kingdoms 1

In each expanse of land are many cities. These cities usually end up banding together in alliances run by a council consisting of their nobles, kings, and queens.

Sometimes, even kingdoms that are little alike will join together, such as John and Talias's.

What a terrible fate pirate curses can be. 😅😂
