Well Ontario showed that being able to buy beer with your gas and scratch cards was more important than health care and education.

Each day provides further evidence that a lot of the US is a third world country pretending to be a developed one.
A nude of mine from the 1970s was included in a Kodak Gold Award winning portfolio and published in a photography magazine.
I went to John Swannell's Naked Landscape exhibition in a central London gallery the early 1980s when I was running a photo department in north London.
Gasoline prices vary between towns around here. But you can't expect uneducated citizens of a third world country to understand that.
You have to remember that education stops at kindergarten in the US. Most MAGAt trolls couldn't find the Earth on a map of the world.
Thank you for the comment.
I was never a fan but editors liked it. It was too saturated and high contrast for me. I used to call it clown colour film.

Yes, our clocks change tonight. The UK changes in three weeks so I have to adjust the time I phone the UK for the next three weeks.
I was reminded of the photo because we had thunderstorms last night and this was February 28th two years ago. Thunderstorms were unusual for this time of year. Another sign of climate change. Part of my long exposure of moving clouds project.

Not so rare at this time of year nowadays due to climate change.
This was a thunderstorm in February two years ago.
Thank you. We had thunderstorms with heavy rain last night and more heavy rain today.
Makes me think of John Swannell's Naked Landscape project from the 1980s.
Today's #BirdOfTheDay theme is #StandingInWater. A female Wilson's Phalarope searching the Middle Quill Lake shoreline for food.

Thank you for the repost and comment. The widespread display on 10th May 2024. Not the most intense colour I've seen but by far the most widespread across the sky with a lot of colour variation.
I'm glad you liked it.
I visited the area in 1985 and 23 years later I ended up living in the area.
A clutter of benches and picnic tables. One of the benches is half in the frame. It's a small park so there could have been people there, I don't remember. I try to avoid humans when doing long exposures because they rarely stay still for a duration of the exposure.

A sliding plate glass rear panel that allows the glass to be cleaned with a light tight chamber behind the glass to make it dark. A lens mount on the rear of the light tight chamber for attaching the camera.

Yes, you need a certain amount of contrast between the clouds or the sky and clouds if it's partly cloudy.
Part of the interior of St Mary's Church, Nantwich, Cheshire, England. Built of local sandstone, probably from Eddisbury near Delamere. Building work was interrupted between 1349 and 1369, probably due to an outbreak of the Black Death plague. By the 1380s the town's prosperity had recovered and building work resumed.

A 5ร4 Ektachrome transparency from the 1970s. A 3 minute exposure I had to time by counting elephants as I had forgotten my watch. See alt text for more details.
