RTL and MoP are incredible set of back to back albums. I was 13 in 86 and when i heard these albums they blew my young teenage mind. Auto reverse on my walkman for days upon days. The fact that this was 40 years ago now is so wild.

Mason Proffit-Wanted 1970. Relatively obscure release on label Happy Tiger. This is a great record. Buy one if you see it. Jangly folk rock, country rock country psych. Think a little like the Byrds. Gatefold won a grammy for album art. I am bit obsessed with it it #nowspinning #vinylcommunity
I bought all of todays extremely clean 1st press records on a recent trip to Providence RI at Round Records. 40 years in business with the same owner. This is a great little shop and a must visit if you are in RI.

New find. 10 inch UK press from 1954. The record is NM. How does something like this survive 72 years and stay unmarked? It plays almost as quiet as a new 180 gram record. The music sounds so alive and present. #nowplaying #vinylcommunity

I am happy to be getting a proper mix of the show. What I don’t get is the overall slow pace of archival releases in general. With the LivePhish subscriber money coming in and the sheer number of shows I don’t under what they are waiting for.

Great record. Bob trombone with Clifford Brown , Wynton Kelly, Mingus etc. It amazes me what the these brilliant musicians were doing right under the noses of mainstream society. Brilliant, improvised and technically complex music.
