The first full programming language I learned was Julia, which also has powerful types and metaprogramming. Pretty grateful for that experience, it was super helpful when first coming to rust.

Describing LLMs as β€œbasically SQL” is pretty silly. By analogous logic, you could say A* is β€œbasically SQL” since it’s β€œjust retrieving” a sequence of edges. Nobody actually would describe it as such because that’s ridiculous, but people make precisely this mistake with LLMs.
