It's been a while...

There was a time I'd do midnight screenings for the latest Star Wars movie...
Anyway, here's the trailer for the first one in six and a half years. ๐ฌ
#AKnightOfTheSevenKingdoms episode 5 dropped my jaw in the same way that Game of Thrones used to.
That good, then.
Another legend gone.
The Godfather, Apocalypse Now, Network, Falling Down and plenty more besides...
RIP Robert Duvall
Hugely impressed by the first episode of the BBC's #LordOfTheFlies adaptation.
Real first-act-of-a-horror-movie vibes throughout.
Didn't really have any high expectations for #AKnightOfTheSevenKingdoms so maybe that's why I'm enjoying it so much?
Or maybe I'm enjoying it so much because it's actually very good.
Three episodes into #WonderMan and it's looking like we're getting to Wandavision levels of greatness.
Whoever pegged Trevor Slattery as a contender for one of the emotional MVPs of the MCU!
Told a work colleague I was going and he said he didn't recognise the name. I thought he meant Mr Brand but he meant Stan and Ollie!
So keep spreading the word, keep their names alive, keep the laughter coming!
Absolutely loved spending a Sunday afternoon with @neilkbrand.bsky.social and Laurel & Hardy at the Rex in Wareham.
He's probably on his way to a cinema near you so don't miss out on a couple of hours of joyful laughter.
Cats and crime and conspiracy and... Keaton.
That's alliterative enough for me!

Crossing fingers that they don't fumble the third 28 Years Later.

Well worth making the time for!
A late UK release means I'm delayed in saying it's one of the best TV shows of 2025...
...but #TheLowdown is excellent. Tremendous cast bringing to life a richly diverse bunch of characters in a twisty, noirish crime comedy/thriller.
Completely my bag.
Next month, we're returning to the @allendalecentre.bsky.social to start our Screwball Comedy Season with The Thin Man (1934).
We can't promise anything as glamorous as this picture but it will offer a rare opportunity to see this classic on the big screen.

Looking forward to it!
He's high up the list!
Indeed it is!
I have a sealed copy on blu-ray that must be unsealed and played soon!
Enjoying a bit of '70s Jack Nicholson at the moment, as one does.

And yet the number of people you'd think would know better still posting on X boggles the mind.
Not seen When Harry Met Sally for MANY years.
For a number of reasons, it hit me harder this time around.
That script! โค๏ธ

We've already seen one of them and they're dropping enough hints that we'll see another I think.
It's not even been a week, America.
His name has always come up (too old now though) but he would never have been a great fit for Bond. This confirms it.
#TheNightManager is lavish but mid-tier, Hiddleston still not completely convincing in the lead role.
Good bookends for 2025.
#CoverUp Decent doc though maybe better if focused solely on the My Lai massacre?
Still, really underscores the importance of those that are driven to seek the truth.
Did some good movie-watching in 2025!
