The command line is back in fashion. Instead of interacting with fancy UIs, people interact more and more with agents in natural language. Agents interact with APIs via CLIs (and MCP servers to some extent). Huge automation potential opens up. Nothing I will complain about π€«
Also glad to put my old dusty SBCs to good use. Like this odroid xu4. Installing node 22 wasn't easy, but after that my new trusty assistant "Klawz" (that's the name he picked for himself) fixed all the remaining issues itself with no intervention. Real self-healing agents, genius.
Mario Bros on a pixel display
I have been having unreasonable levels of fun with openclaw today. Like, hey, find a way to connect to my pixel display via Bluetooth and animate Mario Bros on it. It found the reverse engineered API spec and scripts, discovered the device, glued it altogether and voila! Next, homeassistant π¦
I am waiting for the Linux client to upgrade my sub. I am sure I'm not the only one. Keep up the good work!
Giving pixelfed.org a try. The app looks good enough for my needs. My biggest worry is that it seems to revolve too much around a single developer who seems to be writing most of the software as well as running the most popular servers. While impressive, it makes you think about the bus factor...
The final part of Macronβs statement published on his Instagram account. It reads: No intimidation or threat will influence usβneither in Ukraine, nor in Greenland, nor anywhere else in the world when we are confronted with such situations. Tariff threats are unacceptable and have no place in this context. Europeans will respond in a united and coordinated manner should they be confirmed. We will ensure that European sovereignty is upheld.
What makes this statement by Emmanuel Macron so unprecedented is, for the first time, a leading European ally is equating Trump with Putin.
βNo intimidation or threat will influence us - neither in Ukraine, nor in Greenland, nor anywhere else in the world.β
EVERYTHING has changed.
Just started using the proton suite of products (privacy and security first email, VPN, storage, secret management, etc) and so far I am really liking it with the important omission of a Linux client for Proton Drive (I hear it's coming soon, I really hope so π€). proton.me

I miss the good old times when everything was simple and efficient. OpenTelemetry is powerful but introduces a great deal of complexity. Great post!
Morph 4k upscaler
My latest toy to pair up with my mister fpga solves most of my retro gaming problems with modern LCD displays:
- no more HDMI sync losses during resolution changes in 32 bit console cores
- motion adaptive deinterlacing
It's a pretty good upscaler, games look just gorgeous π #pixelfx #morph4k

Ehm, no thank you? Really trying to be polite here

My son was really upset because we couldn't take the tram to go to the beach, it was stopped somewhere in the middle of the road. Then a lady explained everything to us. Internet didn't work so we had no idea, I could tell something was weird but everyone acted normal, just a little bit too calm...
(I acknowledge that some people got trapped in elevators and other dangerous situations, but the general atmosphere was chill and, as a spaniard living abroad for almost 15 years, it always surprises me how people in Spain often make the best out of the worst situations)

While at it, I got rid of X too. Good riddance
It took me a while, but when I eventually realized to what extent my Facebook feed had been hijacked by ads and fakes (social network they said?), and the negative effect it had on me, I deleted the app. Today I did the same with Instagram. Whatsapp is not going in the right direction...
This has been baking for a while, excited to see it out!
π In case you missed it, Grafana Beyla 2.0 is here!
Check out new features related to distributed tracing, #Kubernetes deployments, and deeper alignment with #OpenTelemetry.

From personal observation, almost every failed local business in Berlin gets replaced by one of the following:
- A kebab shop
- A SpΓ€tkauf (late night shop)
- A barbershop
A sign of the times, or just Berlin being Berlin?
Sometimes asking ChatGPT feels like asking that friend who can't do anything himself but has watched all the documentaries.
