i like ergo chairs but a decent one can be costly, highly recommend getting one in person where you can actually try sitting in it, so ur local office store might be a good bet?
vinyl sounds better than tape (most cassettes anyway), but not better than cd. however, big ass disc, so. it doesn’t matter if it sounds better or not it sounds Good and it’s fun,
i didn’t play totk, so maybe that’s my fault. probably gonna end up being a similar thing to the OOT/MM preference situation since they share work
botw in c tier ?
game industry business tip:
instead of having 25 studios working on one big ass doomed-to-fail live service game, make 25 smaller games in different niches
just an idea..
games:
-take time
-cost money
-are not certain to be successful
-require time to refine and test
sounds like a pain. we can just double the price of office lmaooo
microsoft absolutely hates xbox man it’s so funny. every game franchise at their disposal and they still have to throw a little temper tantrum if anyone has to spend any time thinking about Gaming rather than enterprise
yess and when it adds another matte to a video that’s already a 16:9 blur scale reskin of a vertical video and the actual video is the size of a postage stamp
seems heavy. he could drop it hard
hi!
any platform with UGC has a dangerous choice to make.
1) spend a fortune hosting and delivering any and all UGC (including tons of slop, ai or not)
2) choose to remove and reject spammy and low-effort content, potentially losing users in the process
i have a couple ideas on how to fix this…
red flags don’t matter when the character is fake… many are noticing this…
they get so confused. what, you can’t work eight jobs ?
good news i’m feeling normal about music again. bad news is it probably won’t come out until late next year so
martha stewart tweet that reads “Oil” but the lowercase L is a capital I.
inspired by the classic
Weird AI Yankovic
i’ve been saying for years that five is too many. maybe two guys instead?
idea for folks releasing music (i’ll get there)
bandcamp timed exclusives
music releases on bc, elsewhere after a set amount of time. you wanna stream it? wait or buy it on bandcamp
like timed console exclusives, everyone will eventually be able to experience it, but it nudges people off spotify
the engine in the car weighs too much so we removed it for better fuel economy
if you leave any decision making to a computer, you have to understand the shortcomings involved with that. if the computer makes a mistake on your behalf, that is YOUR mistake actually
bop it: palpatine edition
basically exactly that, but square to fit album art. could come in different colors too like vinyl or tapes do
the device is bespoke (shaped to fit the cartridges) but the media itself isn’t proprietary or locked down with drm
the way i’m thinkin is it’d be a usb-c audio player, most of the components for that circuit are probably available off the shelf
so when you slot in the thing it connects and reads the files, or you could plug it directly into a phone or computer to make a backup or listen any way u wanna
it’s probably a micro sd in a bigger plastic shell but who cares! the trojan horse wasn’t a horse either
carts can be held in outer cases around the size of a cd/DS game case, full color artwork on each with the back cover art on the flipside
so many opportunities to make a player for these that uses some neat design and satisfying mechanical clicks when swapping disks
music floppies* basically
wishlist so far:
- flash memory based
- both read-only and re-writable disks (mixtapes!)
- cheap to manufacture and distribute
- universally compatible (no proprietary hardware needed, each cartridge has a usb-c port to load/offload files/connect to a compatible player or phone)
- pocketable!
i so badly want to build a physical audio format for the modern day. optical media isn’t gonna last, no one has a cd player anymore. vinyl is cool but impractical and can be damaged moving from place to place. cassettes are the closest to what i’m thinking, but are still too bulky and lack detail…..
happy birthday!! 🎉
