This is really very good and you should read it. @youngvulgarian.marieleconte.com as so often articulating things impeccably - right down to the impulse just to go "waaahh", which I really share
Always delivers.
Love an ally, love South [sa-owf] London π
Exactly- already a safe spot, not too intimidating, just got to get to a different section. Have fun!
Might seem basic but don't write M&S off! Depending on wedding vibe they have some good stuff from Seasalt at the more casual end and Hobbs if bit more traditional.
Quote from Tom Pollard: βThe fundamental barrier to getting more of this group back into work is overcoming the distrust and fear people experience. Thereβs lots more you could do to foster voluntary engagement.β
If this government is serious about helping people back into work, it should be thinking about the quality of support job centres provide - not restricting access to benefits.

I've summarised the paper in a blog here. My co-author @shadibrazell.bsky.social has consistently reminded us that βculture eats strategy for breakfast.' Collaboration has to be thought of across gov as both a value to cultivate and a skill to teach www.futuregovernanceforum.co.uk/2025/01/30/g...
Nick Grimshaw and Amol Rajan having an absolute ball on 6music this morning is doing the most for a grim grey morning
Reflecting on Starmerβs comments on the CS yday and on the response itβs got in Whitehall since.
If thereβs any piece of advice Iβd give Starmer - and at this fragile juncture I want to shout it from the rooftops - it would be:
βBlame the system, not the peopleβ.

*did...I am living temporarily and mercifully free of Outlook rn
You've been robbed - mine does a little hot air balloon!
I vote brilliantly terrible! I loved it, despite its completely unnecessarily crackers plot.
Good morning from a frosty Didsbury...yes, it is cold, but the light is lovely
Congratulations, and enjoy!
Still figuring out next move work-wise, but hugely enjoying doing some thinking with @gracewyld.bsky.social & others for @futuregovforum.bsky.social on how central Gov can and should work in closer partnership with civil society organisations to make progress on the missions π€ π
Generally, I feel smug and superior about our small telly (intellectual snob / puritan vibes). International rugby season is a huge exception to that...
My first post has to be a shoutout to @jesstud.bsky.social for the Bluesky public policy starter pack. What a time saver!
Just subscribed to @londoncentric.bsky.social and so far would recommend...seems a great addition to our media landscape, along side OnLondon & the legendary Dave Hill
Already having a whale of a time hosting the London Conference 2024...really good to hear from Sadiq Khan as always, with an acknowledgement that Londoners in our 20s and 30s (no points for guessing which decade I'm in) are justified in being frustrated at the state of the housing market. #LDN24
