Reading about how Lighthouse scoring works: uses a real data from HTTP Archive, taking P8 & P25 and turning that into P10/P50 for a log-normal distribution then drawing its CCDF.
I don't get why they did P8=>P10 / P25=>P50

Update rates were pretty good overall IIRC (had some soft prompts too) so generally it was pretty easy to gate new sections by app version and get good coverage within a few weeks.
As a platform team, we left that up to the team building on top. We had a set of base components guaranteed in all versions, so most teams would fall back to using those sections or skip sections entirely. We also had a hard update wall on versions >1yr old, which forced users to update eventually.

Skipping the lambda & inlining the start/endSpan fixes things, what gives? 🤔
