Buzz and Jessie hold hands in the incinerator in Toy Story 3
Me and all my media friends reading this news that Paramount will buy Warner Bros instead of Netflix
Fuuuuuuck. Larry Ellison will control tiktok, CBS, and CNN. Bari Weiss will run the latter. Oligarchy nightmare.
Paramount getting control of WB is a further descent into fascism. This isnβt about theatrical releases or physical media. This is about MAGA further controlling the news and Trump wedging his way into Hollywood influence. This is disastrous in ways that will be far-reaching.
#Hoppers might be Pixarβs funniest/most straight forward comedy since the first Toy Story. If feels like Pixarβs version of a DreamWorks movie if that makes any sense. I had a great time and laughed a lot and would highly recommend seeing it in theaters.
Staring into the abyss in a 7-Eleven.
What do you mean the Winter Olympics donβt have snowball fights?
Got to write about one of my favorite movies of 2025 for @movieweb that sadly received no love from the Academy.
Check out Sorry, Baby on HBO Max.

#WonderMan is excellent. One of the best MCU series by a wide margin. Itβs funny, has excellent characters, and works because it is basically a comedy that happens to exist in a superhero world. I hope Marvel makes more Wonder Man and more shows like it.
As someone who went to see 2009βs Friday the 13th and Drag Me to Hell on opening day in high school, I had high hopes for Send Help and oh did it deliver. Raimi goes full Raimi and I had a blast! Canβt wait to see it again.
Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, Solo, The Mandalorian, Andor, and Skeleton Crew, are some of my favorite Star Wars stories ever and all happened during Kathleen Kennedyβs tenure as the head of Lucasfilm.
I have many great memories tied to this era of Star Wars, and a lot of it is because of her.
It's obviously okay to criticize a movie; nobody should be forced to like a movie. Yet I will say some of the critiques I'm seeing are just kind of lazy, or use buzzwords to sound profound without providing any actual depth or conversation.
2025 was grim for the movie industryβ¦but great for movies. Here are my top 20 favorite films of the year.
Andor Season 2β¦with those final episodes of Skeleton Crew coming a close second.
With the year coming to a close, I got to write up the 10 best superhero movie entries of 2025 for @movieweb.bsky.social.

It is surreal to think The Force Awakens came out ten years ago. It is strange to think how much has changed around Star Wars since it came out. But you know what? The movie still rules. Loved it then, still love it today, will hopefully love it in another ten years.

As someone who played so many hours of Episode 1 Racer, I will buy this on day one.
Disney's AI deal was inevitable, but it's still depressing as hell.
This news is so awful I wanted to just go back to bed and not think about today.
Truly loving in the worst timeline right now.
There isnβt a day that goes by that I donβt miss my grandma.
But this wouldnβt be her. Itβs an algorithmic approximation of a person. Itβs not really them so therefore it isnβt my grandma. This is downright offensive to think they can replace our loved ones and an absolute ghoulish headline.
Guess I found whatβs going on Christmas morning.
I still canβt believe it.
Just a bleak day for the film industry. Donβt think Iβve ever been this depressed about the future of a medium I love so much.
"Paramount insiders debunk the notion that this new team is making βflyover stateβ films but readily admit they are building a slate focused on areas it sees as underserved by Hollywood, a move that mirrors Ellisonβs work to reshape CBS News. The mogul has complained that the news business has been taken over by coastal elites out of touch with the American public, so itβs not surprising that heβs bringing the same ethos to his studio. One major emphasis is to develop broad, testosterone-laden tentpoles like a Call of Duty movie that Taylor Sheridan is writing and a $100 million-plus motorcross film directed by James Mangold and starring TimothΓ©e Chalamet, who would earn a career-high $25 million. (Mangold also has a new overall deal with the studio.) Paramount also is keen on making a Western with 1923 actor Brandon Sklenar."
the new CBS/Paramount is clearly dominated by dim, right wing dudebros, who want to make lowest common denominator bait for other, dim, white, right wing dudebros
Okay, rude.
I canβt believe KPop Demon Hunters and Hazbin Hotel didnβt shave this number downβ¦unless this is the aged down number?!
Finally finished my Thanksgiving left overs. 10 turkey sandwiches in 5 days.
Till next year.
Of course, the Brainiac shortlist is revealed two days after I wrote this list.
Still, check it out and let me know what you think of these picks and who you would want to see as Superman's most famous foe who has yet to grace the big screen.

I really wanted to like Ella McCay. I tried to meet it on every level, but the entire runtime I was left feeling baffled. It doesnβt work as a comedy or drama, and the entire film is a waste of very talented individuals. I was hoping for a James L. Brooks comeback but sadly a real whiff.
