Finally had the spinal fusion I've been needing for months on Monday morning. Home on pain meds and in a neck brace.

It's not fun, but it's needed. Someone provide some amusement while I'm confined?

General update:

While I'll be going back for regular screenings, my ENT confirmed that I'm cancer free and cleared me for the disc replacement I need. Tumor was the size of my first segment of thumb.

The incision has healed well, but I'm recovering from a throat infection. Improving!

Ngl, Marvel Zombies (and DC's recent attempts at the same, but with vampires) are among my last favorite series ever.
Creative vandalism as a term comes to mind...

Realizing I didn't post anything here...

My thyroid surgery on Monday was a success; doc only had to remove half of the gland and the cancer hadn't yet spread to any of my lymph nodes.

I'm still home recovering, on lift and mobility restrictions. Incision site looks a mess, but is healing well.

I'm looking forward to seeing how it came out! I did a little bit of work on this (a few Welcome to Arkham style location overviews), but I don't know much about the contents beyond that!

Since 2020, I've had 2 foraminectomies (plus a 5 day hospital stay due to conplications), an ACL reconstruction, debridement for a cyclops lesion due to the ACL, and now cancer... and a neck that still needs fixed.

If anyone's got any of those thoughts and prayers or such? I could use a few.

Surgery for lobectomy is scheduled for the end of October, but may be moved up if there's a cancelation.
It's all contained and hasn't spread to the lymph nodes, so the hope is that they'll get it in one go without having to take the full gland.

So, um... some tough health news.
When I was rear-ended in March, I ended up slipping a disc (T1-T2). But, while getting imagery for that, they discovered a nodule on my right thyroid.
Yup, it's that C-word.

Hoping to make it in person for at least one day this year, but that's dependent on some health issues...

It's weird. There's a cutscene with Bellara and Neve, where Bellara talks about getting distracted while cooking. But then banter with Lucanis has the two of them permanently taking over cooking duties. It's a weird bit of contradiction.
Bellara does know how to make katchapuri though!

Don't get me wrong. We had a blast. But I literally had to walk away from the table to figure out how to continue. Trying, but fun in the end!
